The island dozen is a selection of Tasmanian wine from the three major growing regions of the state. These regions consist of the Coal River and Derwent Valleys in the south, Freycinet Coast on the east and the Tamar Valley and Pipers River in the north, just to name a few.
We have included the highly rated Pooley 2008 Riesling from the Coal River Valley. The Pinot has been selected from a small boutique vineyard at Bream Creak, which face some extreme conditions and still produce award winning wine consistently. The Stefano Lubiana Merlot has a James Halliday rating of 92 points and the Morningside is a perfect example of an elegant, cool climate Cabernet with structure and depth.
The East coast has a reputation for fuller favoured Pinot and Chardonnay. So Trio Wine has chosen two of each variety for you to experience.
The north of the state has become the Sparkling wine hub with vineyards like Clover Hill and Jansz consistently produced amazing wine. World renowned Pipers Brook Vineyard also resides in the north. To end the tour of the state we have included a light bodied Pinot Port from Josef Chromy for something to finish a nice evening with.
These wines are hand selected for the astute cool climate wine lover. More detail about each wine can be found on our website.
We at Trio Wine hope you enjoy our selection for your indulgence. Feel free to leave your feedback below in customer reviews.
