Nose: Quite an aromatic nose with ripe pear fruit aromas, touches of green herbs and hints of nuttiness and an intriguing allspice complexity.
Palate: Like previous vintages of this wine the ’08 shows excellent palate weight and structure. There is full, soft fruit flavours of ripe pear plus a level of nuttiness derived from time on yeast lees. The finish is clean and dry with good flavour persistence and just enough grip to add interest.
Cellaring & Serving Suggestions: Suitable to enjoy now or for short-term cellaring. The weight and flavour intensity of this wine make it suitable to serve with quite richly flavoured dishes including chicken, turkey, quail or even pork.
