Tasmanian Wine Regions - Northern Region
The Northern region is the largest growing region in the State and produced almost half the wine made in the state in 2008. This region incorporates the famous Pipers River, Tamar Valley and even Relbia near Launceston.
This region has become mostly famous for the sparkling wine produced by Arras, Jansz and Kreglinger. The Pinot Noirs also have made a name for themselves in the region. These are only a few of the many boutique vineyards scattered in the north.
